How does CoolPeel™ work?
CoolPeel™ is a skin resurfacing treatment that can only be done using the SmartXide Tetra CO2 laser. Precise energy is delivered to the skin’s surface in order to remove the outermost layer of the skin. However, the advanced system prevents excess lingering heat, which makes the treatment more comfortable with shorter healing periods than other ablative treatments.

Who is a good candidate for CoolPeel™?
Most people who wish to diminish fine lines, reduce signs of sun damage such as sun spots, reduce the visibility of pores, or improve skin texture make good candidates for the CoolPeel™. Patients should be healthy with no active skin inflammation or infection before undergoing treatment.

It is critical to inform us if you have a history of herpes (cold sores or fever blisters). We sometimes advise to avoid laser resurfacing if your skin tone is of a darker complexion due to higher risk of post procedure discoloration or recommend adjunctive treatment with hydroquinone cream. We often prefer alternate methods of treatment for brown and black skin types so please ask for a personalized consultation.
What to expect during a CoolPeel™ treatment?
CoolPeel™ treatments only take about 15-20 minutes to treat an area such as the face. Additional time will be needed if adding additional areas, such as neck, chest, or hands. The procedure is comfortable, and well tolerated without pain medication or numbing.

Short pulses of energy are delivered to the treatment area using a Tetra CO2 laser machine. Results can be seen after one session alone, but multiple treatments, often three, are typically recommended depending on your goals and the severity of the skin concern being treated.
What to expect after a CoolPeel™ treatment?
CoolPeel™ treatments do not require time of of work. However, you may not wear makeup for 24 hours after the treatment. You may experience some redness but individual results vary.
What does a CoolPeel™ treatment cost?
Individual sessions are $750 (full face, neck, or decolletage) or a package of three sessions f0r $1800. CoolPeel™ can also be combined with other synergistic technology such as Vivace Microneedling at bundle pricing.
